Sidey’s weekend theme is unusual angles.
When I was pregnant with Spud, we went for our first scan. All I could see on the screen was a blob, but the Hub exclaimed, ‘It’s got my nose!’

I am a little fat. I like food; what can I say? I have dull hair: mousey. I don’t wear much make-up and have no need of a dressing table. If I look like a bag lady, I chose my own clothes. If I look nice, the Hub picked them for me. Despite all this, I am a little vain. This photograph is from 2003. I had to go back that far to find one of me that I liked. But I don’t really care: my husband still thinks I’m beautiful and if he doesn’t, he loves me enough to lie about it. I’m lucky. I have two boys. They never lie to me. Still, you can't have everything.
I would love to hear from you!

Today is National Poetry Day. I was going to bring you some fun and interesting facts about poetry, but you know what? There aren’t any. Not on the internet, anyway. Poetry is dull. By the way, remember to check out my poetry blog, I’m Not A Verse. * * * * * I did find […]
Viewfromtheside offered fascinating as the weekend theme. I thought you might like some fascinating facts. Can you guess which, if any, are true? You can’t fold paper more than seven times. You can, actually, if you are young and determined and rope in your family and a shopping mall. From Wikipedia: In January 2002, while a […]
With apologies to Paul, who might not find this blog to be quite what he was expecting. Take a look at this You Tube video. This – boy? young man? lad? What do I call him? He’s of a similar age to Tory Boy but obviously we are not on similar terms. I’ll call him ‘person’ […]
I have long been in search of the perfect handbag. It must be black; have a short and long handle, so that I can carry it down, under my arm, over my shoulder or over my chest; it must not be so big that I carry a load of junk around with me that I […]

I don’t know about noses, but he has gorgeous eyes!
They’re his father’s, too; though the colour is his father’s mother’s.
And a fine nose it is, too! The sonogram of our granddaughter showed her right arm extended down, and her left like she was holding a microphone or a golf club. We knew then that she most definitely would take after her Dad – who is a golfer (Pro), and a pro musician – lead vocals and hand drums. At least that’s what he did until Zoë was born. . .now he is an insurance salesman. He had to make sure there was a regular income each week, and that they would all be medically insured!
What a great dad!
The nose is better than some other body parts to exclaim about in a hospital room…as if any one would pay attention !
I wish they did sonograms when I was pregnant…It must be so wonderful, like Paula above or Spud’s nose to see a family trait that early.
Thanks for sharing.

I have a video tape of my eldest son’s scan but I wasn’t offered the chance for my second – but his fees were half the price, so I didn’t complain.
Nice lookin’ boy you have there Tilly!
Thank you. He’s even better in proportion
When we went for a scan when I was preggy with the daughter, Old Spouse looked and said ‘Yikes, look at the size of that penis, that’s my boy, OK!’ …. she does have very long arms ….

Perfect angle for this week’s theme, Tilly.
Thanks Nancy
Smells a bit fishy to me.
He’s handsome and he nose it.
If only he did! He’s convinced he’s not.
He’s going to break some hearts when he’s older (lock up your daughters) lol
I’ll tell him; he’ll be thrilled
