List the 5 most important books you’ve ever read.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John & When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit.
The first four taught me about love and the last one about the effects of hate.
What does love mean to you?
Never having to share my Maltesers. If they love me, they’ll leave me to feast alone.
What’s one “luxury” you refuse to live without?
Earl Grey teabags. No joke. I never joke about tea.
If you could spend a day doing anything you wanted, what would you do?
Blogging, of course. Whilst eating Maltesers and drinking Earl Grey tea.
Who was the first person who believed in you?
My Dad. When I was put in his arms he said to my Mum, ‘Doesn’t she look intelligent?’
You can fool some of the people all of the time…
Explain the name of your blog and why you chose it.
I’m a housewife. I laugh (you know what they say will happen if you don’t laugh).
I hope you laugh, too. It doesn’t have to be at me.

I just read this and I have to share it; it is originally from Twitter, but I read it on Manchester Meanders:
Twitter: @Harrietgregory: Quote from Waterstone’s employee on the news: “We’ll stay open, if they steal some books they might learn something” #londonriots

That Twitter quote is perfect!
I laugh a lot
. Thank you!
You have such a quick wit. So good to be
able to laugh at yourself, isn’t it?
Good, and vital sometimes
So you do ‘t love me, then. No joint Malteser fest? But you can have all the Earl Grey tea – to me it’s like drinking bathwater perfumed with bath salts!
Some cracking Twitter comments on that link you posted. It was great to be able to laugh in the face of such a disaster as UK is fast becoming.
It is. Hopefully, things are coming under control now. Hooray for the dreadful British weather
A bookstore is probably the last place the hooligans would loot!
I think you’re right
LOL, wonderful Twitter quote, Tilly!
(I’m a serious convert to Twitter…oh, the buzz…)
I was like that for two days, then got bored
Watching the news about the looting in London, made me wounder what was up here on The Laughing Housewife. You remind me that love is the foundation of a good life, and a peaceful world. Love. My husband’s all-time favorite tea is Twinings Earl Grey. He starts each day with it. Me….a coffee hound. Thank you for taking me from thoughts of violence to love and tea.
I haven’t stopped here in awhile, and I am loving your header.
It has been a while, then! You’ve missed me decorating a bedroom, me playing on the swings, me not doing much else at all.
Always glad to see you
Sad what is going on in England these days. Who would have predicted these riots would happen there of all places. I hope your town is spared. Best wishes to you and your family, Tilly.
Thank you Gigi; we are all fine. We are close to Manchester but it didn’t spread to here.
I remember it happening in the early Eighties. These things happen.
Take down this number (767) 555-7298. It’s the number of MA. They can put you in touch with a 12-step chapter in Manchester. Good luck.
Wash your mouth out with soap! I don’t have an addiction. I absolutely do not have an addiction. Excuse me, I have to eat my Maltesers now.
What does love mean to you? Never having to share my Maltesers. If they love me, they’ll leave me to feast alone.
While moaning your ear…you’ll get fat(ter) they love you, but have to tell you that
You’ve met them, then?
Yep!
I too like the Twitter quote. Like Del boy’s
“Listen up. You might learn summat.”
Oo, which episode?
PS its Lapsang Souchong for me, thanks. And a dark Chocolate Bounty.
There’s no accounting for taste
If your hubs reads this, he’ll know exactly what to give you on future birthdays and anniversaries . . . Maltesers, time to blog, and Earl Gray!
If he doesn’t already know that, he’s a soon-to-be-ex-hubs
The maltesers and blogging sound great, but earl grey is too classy for me. And I don’t like it
Always think it had a hint of washing up liquid in its bouquet and aftertaste.
Here’s to the Dads of the world! Great post and Twitter quote
Thanks to Tilly, I have a friend to laugh with
AWESOME! – Wonderful twitter Quote!
Great one, isn’t it? Wish I’d found it first
Welcome to my blog
I drink Earl Grey too. Every single day. And if I want to give myself a treat, I’ll have Lady Grey in the afternoon. Even more delicious!
I’m not so keen on LG. I drink EG decaf in the afternoons.
