Remember the kind lady who sent me some Galaxy Bites? She recently sent some more Galaxy chocolates for me to try:
Sorry the picture is a bit blurry – my hands were shaking in anticipation. If I tell you that Galaxy is the chocolate that covers Maltesers, you will understand.
I was not let down. The pack contains four large squares: two of Galaxy Chocolate and two of Galaxy Caramel. I ate mine and then was overcome by the urge to hide Spud’s and the Hub’s for secret consumption later, but they are like those pigs who find truffles in the forest, and I was left hiding my face in shame. Not at being caught out: at being so bad at deception. It’s survival of the fattest in this house.
If this chocolate is anything to go by, I’m going to be very surviving indeed.
Please note: I was not paid to write this. More’s the pity.

There ought to be a site to subscribe to these for a regular supply, Tilly….chuckled out loud at this….
After Mister Bud out-poemed you you are still going to share your stash with him? You’re a bigger woman than I, Tilly Bud, that you are!
No choice; he’s stronger than me
I hide treats. I am flawed. Empty tampon box works well in a house full of males. They won’t go within 10 feet of it.
That’s a brilliant one!
Amazing what lengths we go to to hide chocolate. I’m very taken by the empty tampon box! Hadn’t thought of that!
Brilliant, Just brilliant
I was working at Mars when they developed Galaxy chocolate, regularly having samples brought round for blind tastings.(jealous?) Maltesers were long-established before that, so unless they’ve changed the covering chocolate, I don’t think it can be Galaxy.
Jock claims that out of a box of chocs, he has one and I have the rest – because he likes to spread his pleasures, leaving too much temptation in the path of this chocoholic.
Really? Not Galaxy? But it’s heavenly.
My attempts to hide the choccie and condensed milk stashes from daughters were always doomed to failure.
We tried some Galaxy while in UK – very nice, but top of my pops are the Fry’s peppermint creams.
Yummy. Did you try Maltesers?
Funny!
Mmm . . . chocolate!
I have “my shelf” and a few rules about other shelves. David’s issue is that he cannot eat just one or two or fifty. He has to eat the whole bag. And he stays slim. Imagine the problem of “needing to gain weight.”
Remember the old advertisement featuring a group of kids, “Give it to Mikey, he will eat anything?” I call David Mikey. It’s like living with a human ….(fill in the blank). Dianne
I don’t, not being American
We each have our own sweet tin. I raid the Hub’s when mine is empty. He forgives me.
Hiding it for later?! Such restraint is to be admired when it comes to chocolate
It is. Or it would be, if it wasn’t because they happened to walk in just then…
hiding treats from hubby is easy……just put them behind something else. since they are so adverse to actually touching one object, while searching for another.
Excellent choice Tilly! I will stop by later to add the like button.
