See the kitten inside the Hub’s pocket?
The Hub inside his beloved Skyline.
Me standing inside an ostrich egg shelter, on the eggs. I’m not convinced the ostriches built the shelter themselves.
Tory Boy inside my tummy.
Soon to be inside my tummy.

I am a little fat. I like food; what can I say? I have dull hair: mousey. I don’t wear much make-up and have no need of a dressing table. If I look like a bag lady, I chose my own clothes. If I look nice, the Hub picked them for me. Despite all this, I am a little vain. This photograph is from 2003. I had to go back that far to find one of me that I liked. But I don’t really care: my husband still thinks I’m beautiful and if he doesn’t, he loves me enough to lie about it. I’m lucky. I have two boys. They never lie to me. Still, you can't have everything.
I would love to hear from you!

Today is National Poetry Day. I was going to bring you some fun and interesting facts about poetry, but you know what? There aren’t any. Not on the internet, anyway. Poetry is dull. By the way, remember to check out my poetry blog, I’m Not A Verse. * * * * * I did find […]
Viewfromtheside offered fascinating as the weekend theme. I thought you might like some fascinating facts. Can you guess which, if any, are true? You can’t fold paper more than seven times. You can, actually, if you are young and determined and rope in your family and a shopping mall. From Wikipedia: In January 2002, while a […]
With apologies to Paul, who might not find this blog to be quite what he was expecting. Take a look at this You Tube video. This – boy? young man? lad? What do I call him? He’s of a similar age to Tory Boy but obviously we are not on similar terms. I’ll call him ‘person’ […]
I have long been in search of the perfect handbag. It must be black; have a short and long handle, so that I can carry it down, under my arm, over my shoulder or over my chest; it must not be so big that I carry a load of junk around with me that I […]

Haha.. love it.. espcially the Tory Boy bit.. whatever did you do wrong !
Of COURSE the ostriches built the shelter!!!
I knew you’d know!
Yummy photos. Paleoanthropologists have found fossilized ostrich eggs that were used as dishes. Tough shells I think.
Yes, very tough. We have one as an ornament; it’s packed away somewhere.
Wonderful! I love this post and the topic ‘Inside’. I think I might give it a go one of these days.
The first photo of the kitten inside the Hub’s pocket, reminded me of a friend who had a miniature Yorkshire terrier. The dog used to crawl inside my friend’s open necked shirt and pushing his head through a gap between the closed buttons, would settle down to sleep.
One night the friend remembered he had not garaged his car, so got up to do so. He went outside to the garage, put the car away, locked up and came back to his chair by the fire. The dog never even opened an eye, he was so comfortable and content.
That’s adorable! It must have been a Teacup Yorkie; they are the cutest things.

You really are a one-off!
I remember being in my late teens and promising myself that I was going to have one of those dusty rose coloured Skylines. Loved the shape. By the time I got my own car their were none of them on the road anymore
Kitten in the pocket is a cute pic
The Hub LOVED that car. He sold it when we had Tory Boy and he still misses it.
Such sweet photos! Love them all.
You can stand on ostrich eggs? Really?
Yes, they are really tough.
I love the photo of Tory boy in your tummy, you are positively glowing.
I adored being pregnant, both times
It was the best experience for me, too. Cute bloke cuddling that kitten. It looked a bit as though he was pregnant as well!
He had days like that
It’s an excellent way of summarising your fun life. Why was a cute animal in a pocket for? You looked so radiant in pregnancy!
The Hub was keeping the kitten warm.
I loved being pregnant
Brilliant chosen photo …. *smile

Happy days!
Very creative!
Thanks
Love, love, love em all. That Ostrich tent is not believable…
