I will be watching the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. I have prepared a post about it, in which I invite you to tell me what you are eating and drinking while you watch it around the world. (Apologies in advance to my subscribers, who will receive four posts from me today.)

The odds are that I will be in bed. You wouldn’t want a photo of that. It doesn’t even start until 10pm our time, and will finish around 01.30 am.
Since I have no TV, I will prolly be sitting knitting and it will be impossible to take a photo of myself with two hands clicking away without dropping stitches. Have fun.

Hi Tilly, I’ll be in the Mansion all alone and I can’t take a photo of me due to secret identity issues, BUT, I will be watching the opening ceremony with you. I have a few drinky-poos (wine and lager) and a bag of Monster Munch. I also have some onion rings and bacon fries… I was debating between the opening ceremony and Big Brother, but I think my mind’s made up! It should be a good night!

I wish they were showing it live here in the US, but they are not. Bummer.
I am surprised. I thought it would be shown live everywhere.

My dirty secret: I watched the opening ceremony and I’ll probably watch the closing ceremony but the intervening two weeks? Not a chance!
I took a photo and sent it with details of munchies consumed, I hope I haven’t missed your deadline!

I fell asleep as it was starting and woke up to “hey, Jude” ! The cat refused to take a photo of me ….sorry. What a wonderful idea you had…knowing what we were all doing at the same time of the ceremony ! Now it is a few minutes past the end of the ceremony, and time to go to bed after my nap !
Did record the ceremony so will watch tomorrow….today.
Hope you get to enjoy the atmosphere if not able to attend events.

Just saw this post so here is a belated response from across the pond: Didn’t see the ceremony as we are in the middle of a renovation project. No time for luxuries like eating bon bons and watching the hoopla. Can you clue me in on how to send you a picture? (if it’s not too late to join the party. I am quite sure all the lovely Maltesers will be gone….)
