Reblogged from Passionate about Pets:
In 2003, police in Warwickshire , England , opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog.
The dog had been locked in the shed and abandoned.
It was dirty and malnourished, and had quite clearly been abused.
In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a female greyhound, to the Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, which is run by a man named Geoff Grewcock, and known as a haven for animals abandoned, orphaned, or otherwise in need.

Wow, thank you so much for re-blogging my post, Tilly; I hope your readers enjoy it as much as you did.
We did, Barb.

Glad to do it – I love your blog.
That is so sweet – what a lovely dog is Jasmine
Wonderful story. The more I read about animals the more I am filled with awe for what they can achieve. The dog who just kept on giving.
Wonderful, wasn’t she?
They are all that we hope to be ourselves.
And most of us never will
And most of us never will
It is a lovely story…
Thanks for sharing this .. what a wonderful story … *smile – my heart is all warm not.
Lovely story, isn’t it?
Brings a smile, not of hilarity, but of gladness. Thanks!
This is a truly amazing story. One of my best friends is passionate about greyhounds, precisely because of their general loving nature and their history of abuse. She’s an artist and paints stunning images of them. Here’s a link to a couple of her paintings, if you’re interested: http://airtcollective.co.uk/artists/sabrinmiller.php
They are absolutely gorgeous!
