I’m back! I camped. I’m damp.
North Wales: torrential rain.
Need I say more?
No, but I will. Why else have a blog?
Thanks for all of your visits and comments while I was away.

I am a little fat. I like food; what can I say? I have dull hair: mousey. I don’t wear much make-up and have no need of a dressing table. If I look like a bag lady, I chose my own clothes. If I look nice, the Hub picked them for me. Despite all this, I am a little vain. This photograph is from 2003. I had to go back that far to find one of me that I liked. But I don’t really care: my husband still thinks I’m beautiful and if he doesn’t, he loves me enough to lie about it. I’m lucky. I have two boys. They never lie to me. Still, you can't have everything.
I would love to hear from you!

Today is National Poetry Day. I was going to bring you some fun and interesting facts about poetry, but you know what? There aren’t any. Not on the internet, anyway. Poetry is dull. By the way, remember to check out my poetry blog, I’m Not A Verse. * * * * * I did find […]
Viewfromtheside offered fascinating as the weekend theme. I thought you might like some fascinating facts. Can you guess which, if any, are true? You can’t fold paper more than seven times. You can, actually, if you are young and determined and rope in your family and a shopping mall. From Wikipedia: In January 2002, while a […]
With apologies to Paul, who might not find this blog to be quite what he was expecting. Take a look at this You Tube video. This – boy? young man? lad? What do I call him? He’s of a similar age to Tory Boy but obviously we are not on similar terms. I’ll call him ‘person’ […]
I have long been in search of the perfect handbag. It must be black; have a short and long handle, so that I can carry it down, under my arm, over my shoulder or over my chest; it must not be so big that I carry a load of junk around with me that I […]

That’s so not fair. We’ve had a lovely week. of mainly sunshine, though windy until yesterday. They do say that a change is as good as a rest, but if it rained on you, that’s no change!
It wasn’t all rain, thank goodness; and the timing was mostly okay. But there was a lot of it
Have you dried out yet?
Sort of. It’s so humid today, I’m all sweaty
Humid? In Manchester? That must be a first! You must be having a summer this year!
Summer? You poor deluded creature
Rain in Wales? Whatever next!
North Wales though? Snowdonia by any chance? A beautiful part of Wales if so. Although even if not I hope you managed to enjoy it anyway, despite the rain! I particularly like the roads of North Wales. Long meandering tracks carved through beautiful landscapes. Each one at national speed limit. And each one occupied by a tractor doing about 20mph with a long chain of vehicles queued up behind it snaking their way over the hills.
We met one of those tractors
We were between Abergele and Rhyl. More to follow.
Welcome back!
Hope you can dry out without getting moldy.
Thanks
Glad you’re back. Too bad you’re damp.
Thank you
Missed you ..so it’s good to see you back again…why did you not take us with you!
I did, but we didn’t open the laptop once
Welcome back. I’m sure it was character building
Great fun, actually!
how was the weather, what did you do?
All will be revealed in this week’s posts
I guess this means fewer reposted back issues, eh? Welcome back, TB.
It does.
Thanks
Hi T.Bud ~~ I hope you enjoyed things anyway and were able to keep your feet dry!
[Also hoping here that my type is larger for you today. It seems okay for me although with my eyes I need to keep everybody at 110% zoom level.]
Jim’s Six Words for August 18
..
Thanks Jim.
Going to check you out now.
I took some Cadet Girl Scouts camping for 3 days in Hawaii where I lived at the time. It rained every day. We were really wet, but they earned their badges. Did you earn yours? Dianne
I did!
My idea of camping is a nice hotel! (:>) (I’m a wimp, and you won’t find me braving the elements!) Glad you survived…and even had fun! (:>)
Linda @ Truthful Tidbits
That’s my idea of a holiday, too, but we took four children with us so hotels were a little out of our price bracket
So sorry you got rained on! Hope you can stay dry and warm now that you are home!
The rain has stayed off all day and I have washed eight loads so far, so your hope has worked for me. Thanks
I saw those great big clouds on the weather map, and I thought, oh Tilly! (I lie- I thought first of my good friends on holiday in Cornwall) Shame!
It wasn’t too terrible, thank goodness.
it wouldn’t be a break if something didn’t break along the way. Hope you had a good enough time to have enjoyed some of it.
We did, thank you
Strange… the Netherlands isn’t so terribly far away but we had great weather all week! (ok one short burst of thunder and rain but it didn’t last too long) . This weekend… 30 degrees plus and Himself and the kids are away camping having an amazing time.
Wring yourself out and sit yourself at the keyboard… it will do wonders.
Did you have FUN anyway though? I hope so
I did! I always have fun, because it’s, well…fun!
Hope you had a good time despite the rain.
We did, thanks very much
Happy drying out, Tilly
UK is UK .. when it’s about weather .. we had a heat wave for nearly a week now – lovely …
By the pleasure is all mine … to end up here with you.
Thank you, Viveka
Apparently you are a good sport, as you stuck it out!
Life is what you make it
I bet you were glad to see your own bed and bath! If you went this weekend, you would have fried!
I was, I was, I would
Hooray!
Welcome back! Glad you survived the experience.
Mother Nature can be such a spoil sport at times…good to have you back home!

Glad you made it back alive! Can’t wait to hear about it!
WELCOME BACK TILLY!
THANK YOU, JULIE!
Stay warm and dry for the next month. Hmm, better make that two! But you made it, and that’s important too, right?
Welcome back
Thanks, Marion
