What I’m Looking Forward To In 2011

13 Jan

This is the latest suggestion for a blogging topic from postaday2011.  It’s obvious they’ve never read my blog or they wouldn’t have to ask.

What I’m most looking forward to in 2011?  Maltesers, of course.

What is this obsession with the people of Malta?

I just love Maltesers, my Nan and Grandad used to buy me a packet every Thurday. Well they’d get me Maltesers, a Crunchie bar, a pack of Walker ready salted and 50p pocket money. I just used to love Thursdays.
I once dropped a whole box of Maltesers in the cinema and had to listen to them all roll down the floor to the front. I also nearly died of embarrassment as everyone turned around to see who had dropped them. I must say though…I have since done the same with a packet of peanut M&M’s and they make far much more noise.
    Love and hugs.
    Lisa. xx 🙂

      I bet you did!

You gave me a good laugh about the cinema; it’s the sort of thing that happens to me. Thanks for the warning re the M&Ms 🙂

Ah you mean those roughly spherical malt honeycomb centre, surrounded by milk chocolate…I loved those as a kid…now diet doesn’t permit.

They are comparatively low in calories because there’s only a little chocolate on them, so you could have one now and then – but not mine! I ate the last Christmas one yesterday. Can’t believe they lasted so long; I must be losing my touch.

It’s the simplicity that makes a clear statement. Love it, lol,

I could murder a bag of those. I’ve just spent hours writing a bit of doggerel only to have it disappear without trace from the screen. Moral: don’t write pomes in bed,

Do you get them in La Belle France? If not, I’ll send you some.

We do, but they only sell great big packets. I daren’t buy them, as if I do, the pack is empty by the time I’ve driven home (about 20 minutes).

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
