Confession Time

A printed circuit board inside a mobile phone

I am not so smart as I thunk I am.  Walking the dogs on the park and feeling self-satisfied (nothing to do with my last post; more a permanent state-of-mind: no reason either, but since when did reason get in the way of ego?), it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn’t invented a new word in my last post, but simply made an adverb.  Put another way: it occurred to me on the sudden that I hadn’t invented a new word at all, but made a simple adverb.  Adding -ly to a word is not great creative writing, but laziness.

Can you ever forgive me, dear readers?  Especially those of you (you special ones) who wasted minutes of your life trying to figure out where it was?

To make it up to you, here are some other invented words:

techneptitude – technological ineptitude i.e. an inability to work everything from the tv remote to the computer.  It takes me at least two years to get the hang of a new mobile phone and by new I mean my children’s cast-offs.  My current phone is older than my last phone; but you may remember I washed my last phone with the trouser pocket it was sitting in.

Ummm…that’s all I’ve got at the moment.  I know there are others but I can’t work under such pressuritions.

Own up, Tilly: I’ve been using techneptitude for years, as well as technincompoop!

But only because I invented it! I didn’t say it was a new invented word (or ninverd, if you prefer).

pressuritions … what a jolly good ninverd! Going to fling it about willy-nilly at the agency people today *evil grin*

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
