Wow, You Lot Are Picky

Maltesers in a tray.

I’m sorry I didn’t wear a headscarf or a crate, great ideas though they were.  We are so poor, I couldn’t afford to buy them.  All of our money was lost in the Great Malteser Rush of ’92.

Here’s some Malteser research I found while doing my recent project for another chocolate manufacturer:

The current Maltesers’ slogan is “The lighter way to enjoy chocolate” – earlier slogans have included “The sweet with the less-fattening centre”, “No ordinary chocolate” and “Nothing pleases like Maltesers”. The Australian version also contains the line: “Made in Australia… …exported to the world.” In the 1930s, advertisements claimed that the Maltesers honeycomb center is seven times less fattening than ordinary chocolate centers, this made marketers claim it was beneficial for weight loss.

This was fascinating, but where’s the complimentary box to accompany it?

      Thanks 🙂

It never occurred to me to look them up; it only occurs to me to eat them. Thank goodness I have erudite readers.

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
