Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is a husband.

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch. Cancel reply

This Is Me:
I am a little fat. I like food; what can I say? I have dull hair: mousey. I don’t wear much make-up and have no need of a dressing table. If I look like a bag lady, I chose my own clothes. If I look nice, the Hub picked them for me. Despite all this, I am a little vain. This photograph is from 2003. I had to go back that far to find one of me that I liked. But I don’t really care: my husband still thinks I’m beautiful and if he doesn’t, he loves me enough to lie about it. I’m lucky. I have two boys. They never lie to me. Still, you can't have everything.

So you’ve met my husband, then?

Love this! As a matter of fact, Art did concede to me today that I got something right. Granted it was only about a bag of compost but that’s something. I wanted a big bag because it was cheaper and he INSISTED a smaller bag was all we needed. Today we applied the BIG bag I bought to the garden areas and we actually ran out. 🙂

Now if that were the Hub, I’d get the blame for not suggesting we buy two big bags 🙂

A concerned husband went to a doctor to talk about his wife. He says to the doctor, “Doctor, I think my wife is deaf because she never hears me the first time and always asks me to repeat things.” “Well,” the doctor replied, “go home and tonight stand about 15 feet from her and say something to her. If she doesn’t reply move about 5 feet closer and say it again. Keep doing this so that we’ll get an idea about the severity of her deafness.” Sure enough, the husband goes home and does exactly as instructed. He starts off standing about 15 feet from his wife in the kitchen as she is chopping some vegetables and says, “Honey, what’s for dinner?” He hears no response. He moves about 5 feet closer and asks again. No reply. He moves 5 feet closer. Still no reply. He gets fed up and moves right behind her, about an inch away, and asks loudly, “Honey, what’s for dinner?” She replies, “For the fourth time, vegetable stew!”

lol! But aw, I was going to use that one…[scuttles off to complain to the Jokeaday people that they let other bloggers read their site]
Why don’t you start posting a joke a day on your blog? People seem to like it. We can all use a good laugh.

I could – you could call me a copy cat then! (But I’ll refrain from posting added jokes on yours if you prefer ? )

No, the more funny on my blog, the better – including comments; I love that you add jokes. I just don’t want you to miss an opportunity. If you’re not going to post jokes on your own blog, then please keep posting them here, and welcome 🙂 🙂

Sort of like one of the jokes that was on my Mom’s rerigerator or years: I know my husband is smarter than I am! After all, he was smart enough to marry me, and I was dumb enough to marry him. 😀
