My Blog Manager (Tory Boy) thinks I reply to some comments out of politeness only, and shouldn’t, as they add nothing to anything.
I think he’s right and wrong. It’s only polite to acknowledge the comments you leave here: if you’ve taken the time to say something, I want you to know I appreciate it. However, I will admit that some of my replies are banal at best.
So here’s the point of today’s poll: is an inane response better than none at all?
A little girl, dressed in her “Sunday best” was late and running to her Sunday school class. As she ran, she prayed, “Dear God, please don’t let me be late. Dear God, please don’t let me be late.” Then she fell.
She got up, dusted her self off and saw that her dress was now dirty and had a little tear. She started running again, still praying, “Dear God, please don’t let me be late.” But this time she added, “But please don’t push me, either!”
I am a little fat. I like food; what can I say? I have dull hair: mousey. I don’t wear much make-up and have no need of a dressing table. If I look like a bag lady, I chose my own clothes. If I look nice, the Hub picked them for me. Despite all this, I am a little vain. This photograph is from 2003. I had to go back that far to find one of me that I liked. But I don’t really care: my husband still thinks I’m beautiful and if he doesn’t, he loves me enough to lie about it. I’m lucky. I have two boys. They never lie to me. Still, you can't have everything.
