My favourite mornings are Christmas mornings:
The hard work is over, for the most part; we are all together; we have fun.
It’s not about the presents, though everyone gets some. It’s about the thought that goes into them.
The joy of receiving them.
Those happy, smiling faces.
Then the routine exhaustion-nap.
I love your OTT Christmas, and I bet your family does too! Hub needs a good bra!

I don’t like it much. My step-daughter is usually with us and – by the time Christmas morning comes around – she has caused so much strife that we’re all terribly miserable.

That’s a shame. We have had unhelpful guests and it does spoil what should be a nice day. Won’t she stay with her mum at all? Could she be miserable because she’s not there?

Looks like what happens at my home too. 🙂 Your hubby is a fun guy… Only one with a great sense of humor would wear that… ahem. 🙂

He is fun. And I hasten to add that they weren’t a gift from me. I don’t need the competition 🙂

Yes, Christmas mornings are the best! Second best at my house is when my kids let me sleep past 6:30am…
