Sidey’s weekend theme is unusual angles.
When I was pregnant with Spud, we went for our first scan. All I could see on the screen was a blob, but the Hub exclaimed, ‘It’s got my nose!’

I am a little fat. I like food; what can I say? I have dull hair: mousey. I don’t wear much make-up and have no need of a dressing table. If I look like a bag lady, I chose my own clothes. If I look nice, the Hub picked them for me. Despite all this, I am a little vain. This photograph is from 2003. I had to go back that far to find one of me that I liked. But I don’t really care: my husband still thinks I’m beautiful and if he doesn’t, he loves me enough to lie about it. I’m lucky. I have two boys. They never lie to me. Still, you can't have everything.
I would love to hear from you!

They’re his father’s, too; though the colour is his father’s mother’s.

And a fine nose it is, too! The sonogram of our granddaughter showed her right arm extended down, and her left like she was holding a microphone or a golf club. We knew then that she most definitely would take after her Dad – who is a golfer (Pro), and a pro musician – lead vocals and hand drums. At least that’s what he did until Zoë was born. . .now he is an insurance salesman. He had to make sure there was a regular income each week, and that they would all be medically insured! 😀

The nose is better than some other body parts to exclaim about in a hospital room…as if any one would pay attention !
I wish they did sonograms when I was pregnant…It must be so wonderful, like Paula above or Spud’s nose to see a family trait that early.
Thanks for sharing.

I have a video tape of my eldest son’s scan but I wasn’t offered the chance for my second – but his fees were half the price, so I didn’t complain.

When we went for a scan when I was preggy with the daughter, Old Spouse looked and said ‘Yikes, look at the size of that penis, that’s my boy, OK!’ …. she does have very long arms ….
