Someone should’ve mentioned the broken toilet.

It’s not the actual toilet that’s broken; it’s one of the hinges.  But when you find your legs in the air and your bum wedged ‘twixt bowl and seat, that’s kind of a moot point.

That picture (drawing and mental image) is TMI

If we’re going to be friends, Viv, you should see my dirty underbelly. Which it is, now.

Sorry about your hurting moot point! 🙄

    • Tilly Bud August 6, 2011 at 09:20 #

You’re not sorry at all, are you? 😀

      • Jim August 6, 2011 at 09:36 #

        Well, T.B, I was thinking as I smiled, 🙂
In the olden days there could only be
a man to blame for such a problem.
Now-a-days it’s the plastic hinge to fault

When I saw this post I thought, oh no dentist! 😉

That reminds me of my son. Not the picture, of course. But the painful toilet landings. He had an obsession, for a while, with unscrewing things, and the loo seat left the loo on regular occasions.

Last night I felt like I was taking over your blog. My picture seemed to be taking over the right hand side.

    • Tilly Bud August 6, 2011 at 09:28 #

You thought ‘dentist’ because THAT’S WHERE YOU NEED TO GO!

Glad Aden’s lost that desire, anyway. Poor you!

I only forgive you for commenting on every post you missed because you clearly needed to distract your mouth for a while. Go to the dentist!

      • sarsm August 7, 2011 at 08:35 #

I can’t feel my gum at all today. It’s a miracle!! (I’ll call tomorrow).

  4. Karen S. August 6, 2011 at 09:59 #

Oh yes, not a good thing to find out by accident! Jim is right …about the plastic things usually being to fault….! Too funny!

    • Tilly Bud August 6, 2011 at 10:04 #

It was at least lucky, because I didn’t have a 6WS until that moment. 🙂

No comment. (I know, go figure…)

    • Tilly Bud August 6, 2011 at 11:26 #

Who are you? What have you done with the real Ron?

  7. Inspiration to Dream August 6, 2011 at 11:48 #

I don’t know what made me laugh more, the pic or the image that formed in my head of your dilemma. My apologies for laughing at your expense and I hope you weren’t harmed

    • Tilly Bud August 6, 2011 at 11:51 #

I’m fine, thank you. And never apologise for laughing at my expense – it’s why I’m here 🙂

What? Surprises aren’t more fun than being forewarned?

“Blogger impaled on giant incisor while seeking relief.” Now there’s a headline you don’t see every day.

  10. Tinman August 6, 2011 at 13:56 #

If you left the toilet seat up like we supposedly dumb men do, this would never have happened…

It does give a new meaning to having your bottom pinched, though.

  11. Debbie August 6, 2011 at 14:48 #

Now that conjures up quite the image!

  12. Audrey August 6, 2011 at 15:58 #

Oh goodness. The worst I’ve had happen is a man leaving the seat up and me sitting down with the seat up 😦

  13. kateshrewsday August 6, 2011 at 16:07 #

I live in a house where nothing works, so this post rings true. It is a rude awakening during night time toilet trips. You have my undivided Sympathy.

    • Tilly Bud August 7, 2011 at 09:17 #

I got that particular habit under control years ago. Perhaps this was their revenge?

  14. Penguin's Palette August 6, 2011 at 19:17 #

That is quite the predicament you have gotten yourself in! And the picture of the toilet scares me!

  15. Kasi August 6, 2011 at 20:31 #

Love it! (Found your blog from Six Word Saturday)

  16. barb19 August 6, 2011 at 22:14 #

Very embarrassing – did it hurt?

  17. McGuffyAnn August 7, 2011 at 08:27 #

    This one gives nightmares!

    • Tilly Bud August 7, 2011 at 09:20 #

      Sorry about that 🙂

Are you related to the McGuffy school book from Little House On The Prairie?

  18. Elaine August 7, 2011 at 21:20 #

    That’s a bit of a scary picture!
    Sorry about your predicament though.

    What a great looking toilet… 🙂

    […] Ouch… (thelaughinghousewife.wordpress.com) […]

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
