Weekly Photo Challenge: Entrance

14 Aug

When I saw the email subject line for this week’s photo challenge, I misread it as ‘en-trance’.

I immediately thought of the last Harry Potter film, which I finally, finally, finally saw this week.  I was entranced throughout.  So was the rest of the audience: there was barely a rustle of sweet packets or pop of corn for two hours, though Spud complained of one annoying woman who cleared her throat in the most dramatic moments.

Once I had tutted, he informed me it was me.  Oops.

I managed to find a pic with an entrance, to qualify.  I didn’t take it myself, however; so perhaps I don’t qualify after all.  Guess what?  I don’t care, because I finally, finally, finally saw the last Harry Potter film this week, and I was entranced throughout.

Does it really matter if you did not take the photos. I often use pictures that I did not take.

i loved your post and it was certainly different way of looking at it…maybe the rest of us got it all wrong…

You are an individual so be proud that you saw the word in a different way and did not follow the sheep ( not that we are sheep, but you know what I mean)

I never got into the Harry Potter series. Both of my girls have read every book and seen every movie. Me, I just never got into it. Great photo to encompass both words 🙂

I was afraid that all the hype would spoil it for me; but it didn’t.

Wasn’t it brilliant? And thanks for helping me keep my Potter addiction going strong with another photo – don’t think I’ve seen that one before. Counting the days till the all-8 box set becomes available 🙂

You were sooo close ! Entrance, En-trance.
This spring I couldn’t figure why ANYONE would use the prompt “Zits”…it was “pits” or some such word !
    Thanks for sharing.

Cute take on the clearing her throat woman! lol

David loved the HP movies. He saw the last one in 3D. As for me, nah, I didn’t watch.

It was a terrific film – loved every minute of it! I have enjoyed all of them, and the books even more, but such an excellent job was done with the screenplays, I was never disappointd by them.

That was indeed a great entrance, though, and I too was entranced. I do wonder if the etymology of both words is the same, or if they come from two different root language words? Do you know? I guess I’ll have to look it up!

I have enjoyed all of the films, too, though people complain some of them are not so good. I think I’m blinded by love. 🙂

Poor Neville, always in Harry’s shadow. But he’s always there when it counts.

I’m so jealous of you! I still have to see HP#7 part 1 and missed it in the theater. The way things are going, I’ll miss this one in the theater too, argh…
