Exercise…I’ve Heard Of It

Do you wish you had more money or time?

Yes.

If you were God, how would you have started it all?

At the risk of sounding pompous, I wouldn’t presume to second-guess the Lord.

What is your favorite way to get physical exercise?

I have a really good system: I spend all morning at the computer, exercising my brain and fingers at your blogs.  At some point I fall into a dead faint, which tells me I’m hungry.

  • walk from computer to kitchen
  • put kettle on
  • walk back to computer
  • walk from computer to kitchen
  • make tea
  • prepare cereal
  • walk back to computer
  • eat cereal whilst reading blogs
  • walk back to kitchen
  • get piece of fruit (also known as ‘packet of crisps’)
  • walk back to computer
  • eat frusps whilst reading blogs
  • walk back to kitchen to dispose of fruit packet
  • get another piece of fruit (also known as ‘chocolate’)
  • walk back to computer
  • eat other fruitlate whilst reading blogs
  • walk back to kitchen to dispose of other fruit packet
  • walk back to computer with tea, now at perfect drinking temperature (adding weights to an exercise regime gives a better workout)
  • drink tea whilst reading blogs
  • walk back to kitchen with almost-empty mug (it is impolite to drain the cup)
  • walk back to computer
  • read blogs

As you can see, I get a lot of aerobic exercise on a daily basis.  Time to celebrate with a slap-up meal!

well said TB, your form of exercise is the same as mine without the crisps and chocolate.

Do you find it keeps you in good form?

Crisps, definitely a vegetable – potato.

Chocolate, definitely packed with fruit. Cocoa and sugar originally come from fruits, so I was once told. Add some raisins, nuts or orange into the mix and you’ve got yourself 3/4 of your 5 a day in one chocolate bar!

That is frightfully close to my exercise regime! I suppose universal merit makes it so appealing and successful. I must, however, add let out dog between trips for fruit (read candy coated pecans, pecans are good for you, right?) and more fruit (read chocolate cake &/or brownies).

Unfortunately, in recent days I appear to have over done it, and now my knees are angry with me. So, I’ve cut back to one fruit trip and just carry twice as much. I’m building good biceps.

My grandfather and son in law went to Cornell, but they never mentioned anything about exercise. My son in law, in particular, is exercise-averse.

Oh my while I was sweating in the gym…you were developing an exercise routine which may replace mine at some point in time. 😉

I love this. I so enjoy learning something daily, so this is what exercise is? Well, we have something in common, for I guess that I too exercise!

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
