Weekly Photo Challenge: Breakfast

11 Dec

Occasionally, I like dry whole wheat toast and a cold hard-boiled egg for breakfast.  I cook the egg the day before and leave it in the fridge…not always a wise decision: Spud wrote on this egg, Don’t eat me!

You’re a bit late for breakfast, that was two weeks ago…keep up girl!

Anyway your breakfast looks a good healthy breakfast, but I do not think I would fancy a cold hardboiled egg. I like to dip my soldiers in my egg…

I’m always behind on the prompts. I go at my own pace, I’m afraid.

Actually, I had a cold soft-boiled egg for breakfast this morning, chopped up in a large piece of thickly buttered baguette with a slice of ham and lots of salt and pepper. (I had been to the market in -1°C before breakfast!)

I love hard-boiled eggs – great for picnics, but don’t fancy one for breakfast. I’m de-frosting the freezer, so I had melting caramel ice-cream for mine! It’s only 2 degrees here, so all the stuff from the freezer is sitting in the garage, covered in multiple layers of quilts.

LOL, Spud has humor! Did you end up eating the egg or not Tilly? 🙂

I sure did! I smashed his little face in first, though.

I have found it more difficult to peel when left in the shell overnight in the fridge. Spud made the poor egg look so forlorn, I would still eat it, but I would apologize to the egg for disregarding the plea.

I am so never going to be a vegetarian! No apologies, just a laugh and a bite.

He wouldn’t have to mark my eggs . . .
I wouldn’t be tempted to eat a hard boiled egg even if someone paid me. 😉

Haha! Your son has a wicked sense of humor, just like you, Tilly! I can’t even remember the last time I ate a hard boiled egg…

Tell Spud that in America we eat spuds. Dianne

Spud has now decided that he doesn’t want to move to America after all. 🙂

I love a hot egg sandwich or roll. Since I don’t tolerate dairy the cold version can be a bit dry for me.

Looks like Spud could one day be blogging about humor and be sucessful at it. 🙂

hahahaha – so cute 😉 I used to say ‘don’t eat me’ in a squeaky, soft voice when my kids were just about to eat a jelly baby!

Cruel! Wish I’d thought of doing that.

That is one sad looking egg. Might be time to try something else for breakfast. Tilly! 🙂
