Weekly Photo Challenge: Breakfast

11 Dec

Occasionally, I like dry whole wheat toast and a cold hard-boiled egg for breakfast.  I cook the egg the day before and leave it in the fridge…not always a wise decision: Spud wrote on this egg, Don’t eat me!

You’re a bit late for breakfast, that was two weeks ago…keep up girl!

Anyway your breakfast looks a good healthy breakfast, but I do not think I would fancy a cold hardboiled egg. I like to dip my soldiers in my egg…

I’m always behind on the prompts. I go at my own pace, I’m afraid.

Actually, I had a cold soft-boiled egg for breakfast this morning, chopped up in a large piece of thickly buttered baguette with a slice of ham and lots of salt and pepper. (I had been to the market in -1°C before breakfast!)

I love hard-boiled eggs – great for picnics, but don’t fancy one for breakfast. I’m de-frosting the freezer, so I had melting caramel ice-cream for mine! It’s only 2 degrees here, so all the stuff from the freezer is sitting in the garage, covered in multiple layers of quilts.

I have found it more difficult to peel when left in the shell overnight in the fridge. Spud made the poor egg look so forlorn, I would still eat it, but I would apologize to the egg for disregarding the plea.

I am so never going to be a vegetarian! No apologies, just a laugh and a bite.

He wouldn’t have to mark my eggs . . .
I wouldn’t be tempted to eat a hard boiled egg even if someone paid me. 😉

I love a hot egg sandwich or roll. Since I don’t tolerate dairy the cold version can be a bit dry for me.

hahahaha – so cute 😉 I used to say ‘don’t eat me’ in a squeaky, soft voice when my kids were just about to eat a jelly baby!

That is one sad looking egg. Might be time to try something else for breakfast. Tilly! 🙂
