Need to post this for peace.
Not world peace or Greenpeace or green peas, but to still that nagging voice in my head (sounding remarkably like the Hub’s) that says, ‘You haven’t done this Weekly Photo Challenge yet!’ It’s been bugging me since it arrived in my inbox…on January 13th.
So what constitutes ‘peace’?
I don’t know, which is why the prompt has been sitting in my inbox since January.
I can tell you what’s not peaceful:
Sitting on an ostrich – for either of us.
But I can show you the peace of the calm after the storm:
That’s the only piece of me you’re getting today.
Peace by piece…

So there I was, just sitting on this ostrich, like … WHAT???
Lovely piece of peace, that – but WOT, no peas?

you are very brave to be sitting on an ostrich, they have small brains you know. For them its get physical first and no questions later. I remember well the peaceful and blissful feelings of watching a sleeping baby especially when he found a way to fall asleep on his own. Beautiful. Your rolling of the eyes had to have been instigated by the Hub, I’m sure of it.

Baby pic proves that when they’re tired they’ll sleep any way, any where. Love ’em (your pics of ‘peace’ that is)

Needs saying a lot more, T.B. From the rest of us. Thank you.
I overslept this morning (9:41 arising) so I missed my Saturday morning of CBS and local news. Instead I’m watching CNN news. The reporter said that Chicago had more street murders than were killed on Afghan fighting. I don’t know if this was U.S. kills, NATO killed, or who. And I don’t have a rerun button on my TV.
But the numbers were 19xx there versus 20xx in Chicago and that the majority of the murders involved teenagers in Chicago. BTW, Chicago has no gun shops (illegal) within its city limits.

Ooops. I feel so badly about that. Maybe a chocolate malted-milk ball would help? (Is that how “Maltesers” translates into American?) 😉
LikeLike
It does and it will. I praise you for your perspicacity 😉

Perspicacity. Shoot. Another word to translate. Um, “accuteness of discernment or understanding,” according to good ol’ Noah Webster. Thanks! 🙂
The brand name for malted-milk balls, over here, is “Whoppers”, which is a euphemism for a lie, especially a lie about fishing. It also is a slang word for anything large, especially a large fish. So why call a malteser a whopper? Hmm. Maybe ours are larger? 😉
They are not fishy in any way! Totally addictive and off my diet.
But if I NEED one . . .

I imagine that sitting on an ostrich is akin to sitting on a camel. Would you agree?

Not sure, as I have never sat on a camel; but a camel can be used as transport – ostriches, I hear, are not so keen 😉
