A Frosty Reception

22 Sep

First, no summer;

now autumn’s disappeared.

I’m not complaining or anything, but why do we have frost in September when it’s supposed to be autumn?  To be fair, which I don’t feel like doing, we kind of had autumn in summer, so I suppose an early winter was inevitable.

Nature better get her act together or somebody’s going to get a kicking (there’s a reason I hold on to the Hub, and it’s none of that soppy love note business).

Yes, I’m still in a bad mood; I woke up at five, then watched Beckett pretend not to love Castle.  Of course I’m in a bad mood.

A sleep-deprived Tilly is not a pretty sight.  Somebody pass me the duvet; I think I hid the funny there.

    Cool here, but sunny this morning. Frost? Surely not – I’m not ready for winter yet!

    My bedroom window looked like opaque glass this morning due to the drop in temperature. At least the sun is shining now. It was Bl**dy cold at 4 am. I had to put my electric blanket on to get warm. If you are kicking hubby out of bed send him over to me and he can warm my bones! 😉

    It is only 85 degress here but you probably don’t want to hear about that. We do have a cold front coming in next week. The lows will get into the 70s. Ummmm, not sure that helps either. Ahhh, I got it. At least your air is crisp.

    There’s supposed to be frost in Autumn. Today is the first day of Autumn so it’s okay. The frost is on the pumplin and all that. We have no frost but our morning lows are in the 60sF which is like heaven and the days are in the 80sF so I have no complaints. Well, there have still been a couple of 90 degree days so I can complain but at least there are no 100s.

    Some parts of Ontario had frost. It is good for the pumpkins as well as the apples. I sleep better in a cool room with lots of body heat – my hubby hel0ps out with that.

    I’m sorry you’re unhappy, Tilly Bud. I hope the weather warms a little for you — we have a rainy, cold day here, but I expect we’ll have sun soon.

    It’s pleasant here in Hawaii at 4:45 am. No need for a/c or fan or heater. Perfect. Later in the day, it might get too humid, at which time I’ll turn on the a/c.

    There, there possum. It’s all good. Woman are supposed to get grumpy, it’s our natural right in life. As for the cold, we had a zinger (and I don’t mean KFC) down in OZ this time. Husbands never seen me this friendly since we were engaged. It’s all about the “Global Warming” that they keep telling us about. Ha, like as if !! We’ve never had so many frosts in a row. I think you lot are going to cop it this winter too. Gee I bet that put you in an even “better” mood. ….ha lol suck it in and keep it tight. he he xx When all else fails…slap something.

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
