Weekly Photo Challenge: Big

14 Oct

Big Announcement:

For the past two weeks, this blog seems to have been all about birthdays, poetry and head colds.

Here’s the Big Announcement:

so?

This is a photograph of me, pregnant with Spud:

Here’s one from a different angle:

Things don’t get much bigger than that.

Actually, that’s a big fat lie.  Whales, mountains and my chocolate stash are bigger.  Spud is bigger now (upwards, not outwards).  My ego is bigger (because you keep saying nice things to me even though strictly forbidden).  The tissue pile in my bin is bigger than the tissue pile in the tissue box (still milking it).

Lots of things are bigger.  Including my stomach, sixteen years on.

Sigh.

You looked wonderfully pregnant… 😉 The short hair is a surprise… Your tummy is expected. 😉

My hair has only been long the last few years.

You wear long hair well… I like the longer length plus the color is pretty too. 😉

Thanks. Mousy brown is all the rage amongst the greyly challenged 🙂

I have enjoyed our afternoon chat but I really must take the dogs out now. They are casting reproachful looks at me…

Bye, and let’s do this again sometime 🙂

My doctor told me a pregnant woman is like an old balloon — it’s easier to blow them up each time you repeat. Grrr.

That’s a great interpretation of the Big challenge, glowingly pregnant. You look so young with short hair. I had my hair very short for my second pregnancy as well. Short hair does make one look younger, I just had a thought about cutting my hair but I banished it. It seems that you are starting to be on the mend, have a nice cup of tea and continue clearing out your head of all the bad stuff with the tissues.

That’s not your stomach silly, that’s your belly. I nominated you for the Sunshine Award, although I have no idea how to get it. I noticed Al had it on his site. Perhaps you can steal his. Dianne

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
