My First Daily Prompt Response

5 Nov

You have three hundred words to justify the existence of your favorite person, place, or thing.

Failure to convince will result in him vanishing without a trace.

The Hub is a really great guy.

You convinced me. Do you really want to go through this WP tarradiddle every day?

As a good friend once said to me, “I have this perverse sense that once I commit to something, I mostly have to see it through. Though I may not last the course if there are any more daft prompts like that one!”

      heeheeheee 😀

Actually, I love the Daily Prompts. The dafter, the better. I have such fun with them.

OK aliens, what do you want in exchange for returning Tilly Bud to her adoring throngs? You may have fooled some folks with that terse and laconic post but It’s obvious you have abducted her and her keyboard. We miss her grandiose style and acerbic wit and will gladly offer you the entire WordPress staff in exchange for her freedom. Please beam her back down, never mind that the Hub actually looks happy about it.

Hmm I have to wonder, you only used 6/300 words to justify his continued existence. If I was more of a conspiracy monger, I’m sure we could easily write 300 words on your plot. But as he’s a guy, I will vote for his existence to continue.

    Tilly,

300 words — you’ve got 293 more words to use! The thought of ‘vanishing without a trace’ is somewhat spooky on the Fifth of November.

My high school English teacher taught me to “omit needless words.” You would be her star pupil!

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
