A picture really is worth a thousand words.

You know this of course, but here we call today “Veterans Day” (or as it used to be known – Armistice Day) honoring all veterans still living. On May 30th, we have Memorial Day (or as it used to be called – Decoration Day) honoring all those who have fallen in the line of duty. In any case, remembering is the important part!

I have been to Normandy War Cemeteries – far too many – and today our men and women die in other countries wars. When will we ever learn …
Your little video says it all.

We call it ANZAC Day in New Zealand (25th April) , and Dodenherdenking in the Netherlands (4th May) and as a family we observe both.
Never forget to pay your respects… R.I.P. one and all.

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
