They went to see young local artist Hotwotlbotl and got him to do a calendar for the coming year, 250 BC, with a picture of one of them on each page. By March they had all sold out, so they asked him to start on 249 BC (no, I don’t know either). Then, well aware that the popularity of boy bands can be fleeting they got him to do the next five years as well.

From what I have read the Mayans simply couldn’t count above a certain number. No wonder the Aztecs wiped them out.
Can’t you see the scouts reporting back to the generals there’s a bunch of guys over that hill, when it was 5 million Aztecs?

Yes we have a National Yule log, National Christmas tree, State trees (all 50) and a National Menorah on the Elipse next to the White House. In the US the States are very important. Federal Government has limited and enumerated powers, rest of the powers reside in the states.
David and I always visit our Virginia state tree. Good assortment of evergreens on the Mall as state trees come from the state claiming it. Dianne
