A group of psychiatrists were attending a convention. Four of them got together after to chat about the convention. One said to the other three, “People are always coming to us with their guilt and fears, but we have no one that we can go to when we have problems.”

Then one said, “Since we are all professionals, why don’t we take some time right now to hear each other out?”

The other three agreed.

The first then confessed, “I have an uncontrollable desire to kill my patients.”

The second psychiatrist said, “I love expensive things and so I find ways to cheat my patients out of their money whenever I can so I can buy the things I want.”

The third followed with, “I’m involved with selling drugs and often get my patients to sell them for me.”

The fourth psychiatrist then confessed, “I know I’m not supposed to, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t keep a secret…”

This is a good one! 🙂 It reminds me of being in groups of friends when one person gets very, very quiet. You wonder what they’re thinking when everyone else is sharing openly.

I’ve often thought that psychaitrists must be a bit mad to do their job!

I’d laugh except I think all of my psychiatrists have done the above. The last fellow was shot and killed by an irate patient. Dianne

VESUVIOS! Does that ever take me back! It was my hangout, once upon a time. This was when espresso was rare. We were full of caffeine and non sequiters and sometimes witty!

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
