Time To Change The Beds

11 May

We have a guest arriving tomorrow:

Our Christmas nephew: large, jolly, fun.

He’ll be here for a week.

I’ll still get some blogging done.

I will clean the house today.

At least there is no sun:

I can’t clean on sunny days;

I enjoy them till they’re gone.

No cream teas

Now I know why you painted the bathroom! Don’t do too much cleaning – blokes don’t notice dirt! Have a good time.

No, it wasn’t for him; he’s part of the family. It was for my next two sets of visitors in May and June.

My Beloved Sandra will be returning from her Las Vegas sojourn on Tuesday, so I’ll be doing my usual last-minute bachelor-pad sweep up on Monday after work.

    maybe.

Your poem indicates that you do not live in Florida. Here we have sunny days almost everyday!

My partner is also of the cleaning kind. In his own house. Leave me in peace in mine! 😉
I’m sure you two have worked something out haha. Enjoy the weekend.

Hi T.Bud ~~ I don’t envy you one bit. My job when company comes is to do the floors, clean up my mess (really my play work–writing/blogging/reading stuff) and hers too on the breakfast table, put all my medication paraphanillia away, make the dog presentable, and help in general.

We have a guest from France coming for dinner Wednesday and eight other ‘French/U.S’ guests also. Nicole (fr) should have been heir to our toy poodle, Katrin, but the lady became ill when Katrin’s mama died so Mrs. Jim now has the duties for the dog’s life. Katrin will be 13 this July 19.

Think how many more hours in the day we would have if we didn’t have to cook and clean – just more time for blogging and writing and reading

      Exactly!

I do the deathbed test: when I’m lying on my deathbed, am I more likely to say, ‘I wish I’d done more housework’ or, ‘I wish I’d done more writing’?

Lol. Seems like I do housework only before I throw a dinner party.

Have fun with your nephew! I know what you mean about the sunny days, the sunlight pulls at me to go outside to work in the dirt instead of blogging and working on my book. The trials and tribulations of writing, hard isn’t it?;)

In my house, the rule is: if you can’t stand the mess, you can’t come over. Not the way I really want it, but the way it is with MS.

Tilly, Do you only change the beds when visitors come? LOL

We’ve just said goodbye to a relative from England… he’s living in Australia in recent years but was back for his sister’s wedding (which Family Kiwidutch also attended) so he popped over to the Netherlands to stay with us and visit other relatives who coudn’t make it to the wedding. We’ve been busy but having fun 🙂
