Where Jock comes from, a hammer is known as a Port Glasgow Screwdriver – an
    if-all-else-fails kind of tool.

This reminded me of the time I taught my mum about emails. She said, “What, do you … hold the phone up to the screen?”

    • The Laughing Housewife July 9, 2013 at 09:37 #

I totally get that! I owned and used my phone for a year before I realised it was a touch screen…and I only realised then because I mentioned to the Hub that I’d love a touch phone and he laughed at me. 🙂

And the first time I tried to use the camera on it, I looked through the hole and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t see anything…

LOL! I could see how that might happen…..

    Language is so slippery.

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
