Joke 895

Why Seniors still need newspapers:

I was visiting my daughter last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper.

“This is the 21st century, Dad,” she said. “We don’t waste money on newspapers. Here, use my iPad.”

I can tell you this…that fly never knew what hit him.

for this one.

A retired man who volunteers to entertain patients in nursing homes and hospitals went to one local hospital and took his portable keyboard along. He told some jokes and sang some funny songs at patients’ bedsides.

When he finished he said, in farewell, “I hope you get better.”

One elderly gentleman replied, “I hope you get better, too.”

OK! I laughed out loud (loudly) in my Hotel room ! Do you pre-schedule these to be released as you are one of the few reasons I go to bed with a smile on my face : ))))

If only I could get my husband to say the same thing… 🙂

Yes, I schedule them for 4a.m. GMT because I know my American readers like to check them out before bed. But remember – the clocks go back an hour in October.

Oh, we oldies have our uses! The newspaper one made me howl: there are a lot of flies here, but I wouldn’t risk my precious laptop to hit them! Jock claps his hands 2″ above a fly and gets them times out of 10, as they fly up at the noise.
