I went to my church Christmas Fair on Saturday and chatted to a friend who was on face painting duty.
Want your face painted? she joked.
No thanks, I laughed.
Then I remembered my 101/1001 task to say yes to new experiences…and here is the result:
(I’m also doing my bit for Movember)
And yes, shocking as it is, I have lived fifty years without ever having my face painted. How about you?
she did a lovely job, tilly. I like the moustache. ive gone 68 years, and never felt deprived. Did it tickle?

I have never had my face painted – lots of make ups make me itch and result in blotchy skin so it isn’t for me! sally

It suits you. And I can beat you – almost 76 years without a moustache. The beard’s growing nicely though.

Does stage paint count? If so I did long before the whole idea of face painting was thought about.

there was this trend in university called “graffiti pub” and everyone brought a washable marker to the event and wore a plain white tshirt. Well almost everyone brought washable markers. And some have really bad aim. so short story….yes, my face has been painted.
I like the stache though. Ha

Face painted many times – we used to love doing the chin faces when we were kids – hours of hilarity

THat’s brilliant! Never seen that done before. I used to do hand faces a la ‘Why Don’t You…?’

Now tha you mention it, no, I’ve never had my face painted! You were very brave to go beyond the more obvious butterfly or peace symbol. Movember is a good look! 🙂

I went 62 years without it, but WAS a face painter at a small carnival, and one of the darling children/victims wanted to paint my face. So I paid her and she did a marvelous job of a pink heart on one cheek. I felt so young. Loved it. 🙂
