Ooooo…

14 Jun

I’m meeting several bloggers in London today.

Sigh.

Three more people who are going to discover I’m funnier in ether than in person (Viv, no need to reassure me in the comments, but thank you in advance for thinking of me).

In the ether, you see, I can rewrite the dull; in person, I’m borderline offensive when I mean to be amusing.

Not having a crisis of confidence at all. No, sir; not me.

                                                                                                                 Wish them luck.

This is one of the advantages of being a blogger..you can be who you want, say mostly what you like but in the end we are just who we are..you are wife ,mother. Lovely person and a very sensitive writer….if people do not like who you are..thats their fault

Tilly, just be yourself. You don’t need to entertain, you don’t need to amuse just because. You take care of being Tilly and I doubt if anyone will try to push you off the sidewalk into an oncoming tram. Probably.

I am also green with envy that three people are going to meet you and Ill never make it in time for anything. Just enjoy them, and they’ll do the same for you.

I will, I promise. Plus, there will probably be links to their posts.

Must agree with Viv…you may find them dull and boring…but they may make excellent writing topics. 🙂

They were neither dull nor boring, thankfully…but they DO make great blogging material. Watch this space.

Well, I don’t know what you thought of us… but we thoroughly enjoyed our day!!! ( though the Malteser monster has demolished all of your present already) Great to meet you in person!

And you! I thought you all were lovely. Or you were all lovely. Not sure which is correct; but both are correct.

(Sorry; Malteser brain freeze. It’s a real thing)

If I mentioned what a delightful, thoughtful and engaging personality I found in finally meeting Tilly Bud, it would put my Malteser privileges at high risk. And after scarfing down my first ever box of Maltesers that she so graciously gifted to me, I would not dare take that risk.

So let me just just make this generic comment. The chance that I had to meet Tilly, as well as four other bloggers from Great Britain during my just concluded trip there, ranks at the top of the most satisfying and rewarding holidays I have had since I began blogging.

And I discovered something else. The Hub, who sometimes gets short shrift in some of Tilly’s blogs (all good-naturedly, of course) is just as personable as she is. Unable to make the trip to meet us himself, he presented Patty and I with a heart-warming welcome video. And I compliment him with no trepidation at all, as I now know he is not the privilege revoking type.

    Great meet-up Tilly!!!

Linda, I know you were fine … with your sense of humor and personality. *smile – also want to thank you for the lovely postcard … what a surprise, it arrived today. You don’t have to travel anywhere to send me a card, but I never had one from Malta before. Great to read that you had a fantastic holiday.

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
