A Poem To Celebrate NaPoWriMo

15 Apr

It’s National Poetry Writing Month in the States; of course, the whole world is joining in, including me.  I’m writing like mad so I’ve been even more absent than usual.

By way of apology, here’s a poem I wrote eighteen months ago, which made me smile when I came across it in a notebook.  Something the whole family can enjoy.

Dog Walk On Bonar Park

Fresh-cut grass!

Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it
Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it
Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it
Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it
Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it
Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it
Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it
Here’s a pile – let’s wee on it

Can we go home now?
I’ve an empty ass.

When I get back home, I’m going to read it to Jack and Lulu, it’s as if it was written solely for them 😀 Thank Tilly! I miss you xxoo

How do Tilly… so good to see you again! 😀
    That’s a fun wee poem you’ve written!
I was contemplating writing a month of rhymes during May, but didn’t know anything about NaMoWeePo, but now that I do, I can’t (write a month of rhymes) as it looks like I’m copying. Sigh.
Hope you’re well, by the wee! 😀

    Very funny!
Do the dogs queue to take turns? So walking them is a case of minding Ps and Qs? 🙂

No one could ever say you are not original! I hope you’ll later share some of your other poetry–not that I didn’t think this was stellar. 🙂

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
