No Need To Nag

15 Jan

I had an email from Facebook: ‘Today is Alex Cosgriff’s birthday.’

To be honest, I was offended; as if I need some mindless, faceless mass to tell me the date my child was born.

Get lost, Facebook.

Uh…oh…um…nearly forgot: happy birthday, Spud.

Got to hand it to FB. Just this morning they sent me a notification to remind me to take out the garbage tonight.

My kids write their own birthdays on the wall calendar in big, bright colours. My fault for asking for that big Mama’s Family Activity Calendar every Christmas. I fear the day they are all on Facebook.

I welcome your comments but be warned: I'm menopausal and as likely to snarl as smile. Wine or Maltesers are an acceptable bribe; or a compliment about my youthful looks and cheery disposition will do in a pinch.
