Do you ever get those letters from survey companies, asking you for information ranging from the make and model of your car to your baby’s shoe size and how much money you are willing to part with so that charities can hound you for the rest of your life, all for the gift of a homemade pen the length of your little fingernail?
The Hub received one and started to fill it in but got hacked off at the level of intimate detail they required. He chucked the form in the shredder, took a blank piece of paper, wrote ‘Boo!’ on it, folded it in half and stuck it in the pre-paid envelope, and sent it off.
We haven’t had any mail from that company since.

Excellent! I am allergic to filling out forms so I always throw them away but I never thought of getting revenge by using their post paid envelope and sending something back…

Your hubby is a formidable opponent, I am sure that between the two of you there is an excellent television series just waiting to be broadcast. Both of you are exceedingly witty. There is gold here to be mined! Thank you for the laugh.

Now that’s a thought. We sort through the mail while we are outside retrieving it and throw most of it in the recycle bin (the post person is afraid of our 6 pound dog and won’t put it through the letter box. Dianne

I like the idea of never letting junk mail in the house.

Haha. I like that. I like to follow Andy Rooney’s advice and stuff all of their advertising back in the prepaid envelope and send it back to them.

Love this 😀 Phil saves up all the pre paid envelopes and strikes out the addresses, using them for his own dastardly purposes. He uses far fewer stamps consequently. It’s petty, but it’s a very small kind of revenge.

I used to get plenty of junk mail. I did three things that helped reduce it. I saved it and bunged the lot in one of those prepaid envelopes having first removed all references to me. I am sure the envelopes were well over the set limit in weight.
Then I had my phone made ex- directory and arranged to be on the limited voting register and not the one available to all and sundry.
I get very little rubbish now. Royal Mail Postmen are paid extra to deliver junk mail, but, can only push three items through your mailbox on any given day.

Funny… we don’t get that many surveys. They must not care what we think.

I used to stuff one junk mail return envelope with the contents of another. they then ended up paying the postage.
