That’s Better!

2 Dec

All week I’ve been muttering to myself, Must remember to decorate my blog on the first; must rememeber to decoarte my blog on the first; mum rebester to derocate by mog on the stirf (Sarsm’s Christmas cake recipe refers) and come the first, what happens?  I forgot.

It was the email from WordPress telling me how to turn on the snow that reminded me.

What do you think?  Tasteful, no?

No.  But I don’t care; it’s Christmas!

The snow is cute! I hoped my blogs would remember it from last year, but no. So thanks for the reminder, WordPress! 😉

nice header! But some of the print/type is hard to read due to poor color contrast, alas.

I tried using the WP Christmas theme but it wouldn’t allow my widgets. I am looking for something a little easier on the eye.

Very festive! It’s a little hard to see the black and grey fonts (that make up your Blog title and your side bar info) but you probably did want us to see all that info anyway during the holiday season. 😉

Love all the other background colors, though…

Since I live in SoCal…the word ‘snow’ is considered by some as… well…a word not to be used in polite company…so I’ve turn it off on my web browser. 😉

‘Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la
    Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Now I am ready for mulled wine and mince pies!

What other time to be over the top but on Christmas? Our neighbourhood is getting its fair share of carbon taxing at the moment. An admirable effort, Tilly (love slpmartin’s comment, hehe)

It’s at the top of the page. It’s probably feeble because this is Stockport; we don’t get much snow.

Very nice, Tilly. I feel festive while at your Blog. 🙂 I like the snow too! This post got caught in my spam filters, wonder why WordPress does this on occasion with posts. Oh, well.

Tilly, I don’t see the snow falling on your blog so check again. Yes, if you turn it on this year, it will automatically start snowing next year around the same time… I turned mine on last year and didn’t have to do a thing this year… Where is your snowfall? 🙂

My snow turned itself on. All I did was change my header to a photo I took at Heidelberg Christmas market. I’m thinking of changing it again though if I manage to take a better photo this weekend – that one’s a bit dark.
