Did you spot yesterday’s word or was it all a big bleb of babble to you?
I gave you two words, because I couldn’t choose between them:
Ambisinister: clumsy, unskillful with both hands
Asseverate: to declare earnestly, solemnly
I declare earnestly and solemnly that there is only one new word in today’s post.
*
I had a thought about the horse meat scandal: I think we’re safe in this house. Think about it: when you buy cheap dog and cat food in tins, it’s usually made of horse meat.
Remember the smell that follows…?
We haven’t had any unusually bad smells, from dogs or people – above the ordinary, if you know what I mean.
I think we’re safe.

We had a toilet flood this morning, due to a blockage that may or may not have been caused by the over-enthusiastic use of toilet paper by a certain bunged-up (nose, people, nose!) theatrical type.
That’s twice in one year I’ve had to wash the bathroom floor.
*
Apparantly a horsemeat butcher here has been doing a roaring trade since the scandal – people are curious and what to (knowingly) give it a try.
by the way, how did the boobies tag experiment go?

I had to look it up. I wish I hadn’t now…2. pompous and bombastic.

I learned a new word from a crossword –
orotund equals sonorous or maybe pompous.
In order to remember it
I shall use it all the time.
My poems will become orotund –
grandiloquence becomes me.

I got ambisinster yesterday. I feed my dogs dry dog food. It claims to contain beef. But then so does the food I buy at the market for myself. The scandal hasn’t hit the US–yet. Is the word for today bleb? I have no idea what that is. I am ignorant. I’m done.

It is! The 26 words are all new to me, too; so we can be ignorant together 🙂

I read the whole post twice, and carefully, and could not find the ‘new’ word. What a bummer. Dianne

Oh darn, I DID spot yesterday’s two new words, but was so busy remembering to say that I use ‘amongst’ quite often that I forgot to mention them.
Is today’s new word ‘bleb’?
Two bathroom floor cleanings in less than three months is definitely above and beyond the call of duty!

Yes it is, to your question and last remark 🙂

Maybe or maybe not horse meat is good or not good. For me it sickens me to eat such a beautiful animal. I just heard on the news this morning that the government found horse meat in the products at Taco Bell. So sad cuz now I don’t know if I can eat there anymore

I certainly don’t miss the irregular bathroom floor cleaning’s that happened far too often for my liking before Statto went off to Uni.

Bleb maybe the WORD of the Day – I assume you were referring to the nipple milk blister one. I actually found a reference to a ‘bleb of babble’ in text book of ophthamology – seems blebs are fine clustered babble like excrescences 🙂
Take care
