It’s counter-intuitive, but awake or asleep our brains are driven to be doing something. It’s a surprise to most people to realize how little control they have over their own minds.
It’s not a surprise to me. And nor, I suspect, to this blog’s readers.

Oh dear! Tis true, their questions are getting sillier., I can’t think of nothing – the moment I try, I either fall asleep, or start chewing over everything I should be doing instead of wasting time trying to think of nothing.

Actually, I don’t think it’s a bad idea, because it forces a person to think about what they think about something. But this blog is not really the place for that.
