Weekly Photo Challenge: Dreaming

16 Jul

A bonus joke for you, from Will & Guy:

Bob is walking down a country road when he spots Farmer Harris standing in the middle of a huge field of corn doing absolutely nothing.  Bob, curious to find out what’s happening, walks all the way out to the farmer and asks him, “Excuse me, Farmer Harris, could you tell me what you are you doing?”

“I’m trying to win a Nobel Prize,” the farmer replies.

“A Nobel Prize?” enquires Bob, puzzled. “How?”

“Well, I heard they give the Nobel Prize to people who are out standing in their field.”

*

Talking of farmers and their fields, some women dream of being with a man like the farmer who planted a private field in the shape of a heart, to honour his dead wife (read the story here):

Heart field

I dream of one day having a tidy house.  Look at the mess the Hub left recently, for me to find and clear up:

With mess like that Tilly, you should be rushing to make a lovely bag to put it in! Did enjoy the farmer’s quest for the Nobel Prize:)

This is the most beautiful mess I’ve ever seen 🙂 I wouldn’t mind finding that in my kitchen, instead of the dirty coffee cups 😀

That’s a pretty nice mess. I saw that photo of the trees on the TV news. Seems no one knew about it until recently when someone saw it from the air. What a beautiful tribute.

Your Hub is a keeper. I can just imagine the gleam in his eye as he was cutting up his heart creations to surprise you. Men do have the quirky habit of surprising us so sweetly into forgetting and overlooking so many things. Lol

Nice post. Perhaps you should have titled it,”Men trying to win women’s hearts.” In the case of the farmer, its a little late.

Ah, sweet husband. I had a valentine’s card once full of tissue paper hearts. I tried to open it discreetly…

The Hub’s got it right – at least you’re still alive to enjoy the utterly romantic gesture, *sigh*
Did you count them? – fifty hearts of blue beats Fifty Shades of Grey every time, in my book 😉

Ah! That’s a very special gift…I’m afraid that on too many occasions my lack of tidiness would make it hard for me to see them! 🙂 How nice to find surprises now and again! Debra

If your husband had a large property, I bet he’d create a big field in the shape of a heart for you too. But for now, the paper hearts will have to do and they’re very cute.
