Thanks to Siggi of Maine for sending this great joke, now one of my favourites.
I was tempted to make it about the Hub and me, with Hub playing the wife and me playing the husband, because if the character fits….

A middle-aged couple had finally learned how to send and receive texts on their cell phones.
The wife, being a romantic at heart, decided one day that she’d send her husband a text while she was out of the house having coffee with a friend. She texted:
If you are sleeping, send me your dreams.
If you are laughing, send me your smile.
If you are eating, send me a bite.
If you are drinking, send me a sip.
If you are crying, send me your tears.
I love you.
The husband, being a no-nonsense sort of guy, texted back:
I’m on the toilet. Please advise.
Hahhhh, Hahhhn; — good one!

Now that brought a chuckle.

so do I. But when he heard me laughing at this, he came an read it onscreen (technophobe personified) and roard with laughter. He’s just made me scrambled egg, which I might be able to eat (first in two days)

Ha! That’s an excellent one! 🙂
(It reminds me of about a decade ago when a housemate of mine was discussing how enthustically his Mum had recently embraced texting. After receiving another text from her he said “Oh, my Mum’s become a massive victim of technolgy”. I asked him if she’d been killed by a robot.)

LOL… rings true! (um except for the bit there it says (husband) “texted back”… he’s a technophobe and doesn’t do texts… and the other small detail/ technical hitch… I know how to text but choose to not own a mobile phone LOL)
I can well imagine you and the Hub having this conversation though 🙂
